Frequently Asked Questions
What is ABA?
ABA is a personalized approach to behavior change that focuses on making real, lasting improvements in everyday behavior. It uses scientifically proven techniques to understand why certain behaviors occur, what triggers them, and how the environment influences them. With this understanding, the environment is adjusted, and new skills are taught to help improve behavior.
What do sessions look like?
Sessions are individualized to meet your child’s unique needs. They typically take place in the home or community and focus on building skills through play, structured activities, and natural interactions. Parents and caregivers are actively involved for the entire duration of the session. This collaboration allows me to coach and support you in using effective strategies, ensuring consistency and progress beyond our time together. Depending on your child’s goals, sessions may include practicing communication, social skills, self-regulation, and daily living skills. My goal is to create a positive, engaging environment where your child feels supported and motivated to learn.
What is the cost?
The cost of services varies based on the type and frequency of sessions. Since each child’s needs are unique, I offer a free initial consultation to discuss your family’s goals and determine the best plan. During this consultation, I’ll provide details about pricing and service options.
Do you take insurance?
I am a private-pay provider and do not accept insurance. However, I can provide superbills, which you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network benefits and coverage for ABA services.
